Keywords are terms or phrases that you enter into a search engine
such as Google or Yahoo to find what you are looking for on the
internet.
Researching keywords and/or phrases is a vitally important part of
making your website or blog optimized so that it can be found and
hopefully be found on the first page of websites brought up through that
search. This optimization is better known as SEO (search engine
optimization).
Finding sales oriented keywords or phrases can be a challenge for
some people. You want to drive the maximum qualified users to increase
your sales online but just how do you go about doing this?
It is very tricky to select the right keywords for your website or
blog and yet still be optimized for the search engines to find your site
but it is a necessary evil that has to be done if you are going to be
working on the internet.
There are many options that you can use both free and paid in order to do your keyword and/or phrase search.
One such keyword tool is the Google Keyword Tool located at >>> Google Keyword Tool
Be sure to try and select keywords that clearly targets your business
and products to get traffic to your site. There are some blogs and
websites that get very high levels of traffic from general keywords but
they might not end up being sales. High traffic with no sales means
you need to do more keyword research.
Make a list of your services, products and topics and then proceed in
finding the keywords or phrases that are the best match. If you have
had a website or a blog online for a little while you can see what
keywords or phrases have already started bringing the traffic in and
expand on those keywords if you are using Google Analytics.
You can set up Google Analytics from your WordPress blog plugin area or >>> Google Analytics. This is another must have free Google tool.
Today, most internet users are aware of how the search engines work
and they most generally will always look for the better products, prices
and locations, etc. Therefore, be sure to use keywords for all terms
for each product, price or location, etc.
